Adobe previews BrowserLab for consistent web designs
Adobe has unveiled its newest application, BrowserLab, releasing it as a free downloadable preview. The program, originally code-named Meer Meer, is used to compare webpages in Safari, Internet Explorer, and Firefox to ensure designs remain consistent between each browser. The program uses virtualization technology hosted through a cloud-based application, eliminating the need to install all three browsers.
BrowserLab is built to work with Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, extending the applications abilities to test Flash technology-based website elements. The program has two viewing options with the first consisting of two browser screenshots sitting side-by-side. The other program view is the Onion Skin Mode, which overlays one screenshot over another in a semi-transparent way so discrepancies between each browser can be seen.
BrowserLab has limited availability. The program can be downloaded from the Adobe website and requires Mac OS X 10.4.

Cool, so no more excuses about incompatible browsers. Microsoft should be greatfull to Adobe to make it easier to clean up the mess most 'older' IE versions create for designers.
